Yes, you read that right – 558,248 views in the last 28 days.
Do you want the same?
Sure you do!
You’ll be glad to know that it’s super easy.
The only thing I did was listen to Gary Vaynerchuk’s advice and posted the video on a platform that might have escaped your attention:
Yep, TikTok. The platform for kids.
Yes, I don’t really care about the platform.
And yes, my audience isn’t there right now.
So why the heck did I post to it then?
As an experiment. Because EVERY social platform in the early days looks silly for business people.
In its early days Facebook was for students.
Instagram for kids.
LinkedIn for job seekers.
Now look at all three of them. They are great for business.
But here’s the thing: if you were early to those platforms you’d have millions of followers – free.
Unfortunately, I was late to those platforms so now I have to “pay for play”.
And even though TikTok is for kids today… it might turn out to be awesome for business tomorrow.
Or it might be a fad.
All I know is I’ve added 3,300 followers in a few weeks and my cost has been zero. If I keep it up – and if TikTok turns into the next Instagram – I’ll have a huge following pre-built.
It’s worth thinking about.
Will I be able to monetise it?
I have no idea.
But, again, if TikTok becomes the next big marketing tool, I’ll be in a good position.
Does this mean that you should get in on the action right now?
That’s up to you.
But I’ve learned my lesson and I’m going to start conquering social platforms while they’re still a fad.
