How Important Is Regular Content?

There are two reasons why you need to produce regular content.

First reason has to do with trust.

The second reason has to do with how many people actually see your content.

Let me throw some figures at you.

When you send out lots of emails, you might have a 20% open rate. That means that 80% of the people are not reading your emails.

How about Facebook content?

If you’re publishing on Facebook, organic reach sits at around 1%. Facebook doesn’t reveal the actual number.

But it’s very, very low.

That means that 99% of your fans don’t see your content.

One way to combat this is to play the numbers. And that means you need to publish content regularly and consistently.

If nothing else, do it because most people don’t see a particular post unless you amplify it.

Now let’s talk about trust.

There’s a trust factor if companies stick around and are consistent with their content deliverables.

It says, “This company is not going anywhere, they’re here for the long haul.”

Your customers may not read everything you put out there. But on a psychological level, they know that you’ll be around for a long time.

Regular content sends a covert message that speaks to the human psyche about staying power.
