An Easy, Non-Technical Way to Get Sales Leads

Recently, I met up with a buddy who wanted to pick my brain about PPC, SEO, and all kinds of other stuff. He wasn’t sure about the best way to bring hot leads to his retirement village.

Now, this is something I’m asked alot. And sometimes, I need to think outside of the box to come up with the answer.

That was definitely the case here. Why? Well, partly because the vast majority of his audience is 60 or older.

And so we brainstormed a few ideas… but then I asked him a surprising question. I asked him if his audience is offline.

i.e. do they read newspapers and magazines?

He told me that his audience, being mostly elderly, is indeed offline and they read the LOCAL newspaper.

So I told him to just push his content there.

He could create a consumer guide like ‘The 10 Questions to Ask Before You Move into a Retirement Village.’

Or, as is often the case, it’s the family that decides for the parent or grandparent.

So I suggested another guide title: ‘The 10 Questions to Ask before Putting a Parent into a Retirement Village.’

This consumer guide idea is something that I’ve used throughout my career.

It works and works and works – online and offline.
