How do you get an immediate return on content?

How do you get an immediate return on your content?

I mean instantly get money back in your pocket… and then some?

I know of only two ways…

The first is with paid ads.

The second is if you have built-in distribution such as:

Big email list
Big social following
Lots of existing traffic to your website

Let me give you an example…

The other day I was talking to a company with sales of $30 million per year. They’ve been in the industry for about 29 years and they’re one of the most trusted companies in their industry.

They produce content.

Regular content.

They do lots of videos and podcasts and articles.

What they do NOT have an email capture mechanism on their website.

So my advice was simple – they will get an immediate return on their content marketing efforts by…

… capturing email addresses.

There are a few ways to do this:

Set up a fly over (using a software such as sumo.com)
Use WordPress widgets to add opt in boxes in articles
Use exit pops

Sure, there’s a bit of technical work needed but so easy to do.

And this will be found money from existing effort (remember they already generate lots of revenue and have lots of traffic).
