Reviving Failing Campaigns

Guess what?

Most of your marketing campaigns are going to suck.

It’s not your fault. It’s just the way things work.

If you know what you’re doing, you can maybe expect 1 out of 10 campaigns to work. But you can breathe life into a dying campaign.

We’re doing that for a client right now.

He’s got a few things going on but nothing that moves the needle. So we decided to dissect his campaign and see what to optimise.

First, we took a look at his free report opt-in.

On average, it cost him $25 dollars to get people to request the report. Since we know how these things work, we figured that we could get this number down to $15.

Next, we tweaked the ‘Thank you’ page. It had an offer for a free consultation, which you can generally expect a 5-10% uptake rate.

Since the client was below that number, we found a way to boost it. Nothing too shocking, just in the vicinity of normal.

Lastly, we looked at his emails and selected the best ones for use in Facebook ads. There were some amazing emails there.

We still have a long way to go but we’re off to a damn good start.

Cost per lead and cost per sale are coming down, down, down.

This means, in turn, that return on ad spend is going…

… up

… up

… up.

Just how we want it!

There are always things that you can do to boost your campaigns. You just have to know where to look.
