Should Videos Look Nice?

 

What’s the main goal of your video content?

Do you prioritise looks or do you just want them to convert?

As you can imagine, this is a highly subjective topic. You might be making fancy videos that get no traction whatsoever. On the other hand, your video content might bring a ton of leads despite not being sexy.

It comes down to how much you care about your brand guidelines.

Let me explain by telling you about a client…

He generates a massive ROI of 60:1 on ad spend with his videos. 

i.e. spend $10,000 and bring in $600,000.

And he couldn’t care less about branding!

I’m an old-school guy so this doesn’t matter much to me either. I’d much rather have videos than convert than focusing on tiny details that people might not even notice.

Of course, there are many businesses that care deeply about their branding guidelines.

If this is you, you should know that there’s a way to get the best of both worlds.

Just make sure that your brand guidelines are very clear and don’t send confusing messages.

Your video team needs to understand them well… if you want them to create good-looking videos that convert.

Again, it’s up to your preferences. But with some effort, you can have your cake and eat it too.
